This list of things to do in The Sims 4 will help you get started.
The Sims 4 base game is now free for everyone to play. This means that more people are coming to the game than ever before. Things can get overwhelming in this sandbox world with lots of options, and you may be left wondering, “What are some cool things to do in The Sims 4?”
If you’re looking for a challenge, something unique to look at, a bunch of secrets to find, or even just a list of things to do, we’ve got you covered. Here are just a few of The Sims 4’s most fun things to do.
Learn To Summon Grilled Cheese Instantly
We’ll start with a cool secret goal that will help your Sim get what they want, which is grilled cheese. Grilled cheese is a big part of The Sims because it’s one of the first things you learn to cook. So much so that you can even get furniture that looks like grilled cheese.
If your Sim eats grilled cheese three times in a row, the secret Grilled Cheese Aspiration will be unlocked. Then you need to reach the three milestones, and you’ll be able to call grilled cheese whenever you want.
Explore Scenarios And Earn Rewards
The Sims 4 now has goals built in. These are called “scenarios.” They give you a variety of challenges that let you try out different parts of the game. They are great for all players, no matter how long they have been playing or how much experience they have. Just go to the main menu and choose “Scenario” to see the options.
Each scenario has a rating for how hard it is and a short summary of what it wants to accomplish. If you move your mouse over it, you can see the goals you need to reach. You can also see what each one gives you when you finish it. Some will already have a family made, while others will tell you what you need to do to make a family.
Become An Evil Genius
In The Sims 4, you can be a lot of different things, and thanks to some DLC, you can also be an Evil Genius. Many people go to Get To Work first because it has the interactive Science Career. You can learn how to make potions, make a freeze ray, and go on adventures to other planets.
You can make your own robot if you have Discover University, and if you have Island Living, you can live on a remote island with its own active volcano. You have everything you need. All you have to do is put it all together.
Discover Some Secret Locations
In The Sims 4, there are a lot of hidden places to find. Sylvan Glade and the Forgotten Grotto are both included in the base game. One of them requires more work than the other, but they are both beautiful and will help you take some beautiful screenshots.
If you have DLC installed, the Get to Work expansion includes the alien race’s home planet, Sixam, which you can visit and play with. On the other hand, the Strangerville game pack has a secret place that you can only find by solving a mystery and going on a quest.
Grow A Cowplant
Over the years, The Sims have shown a lot of love for the movie Little Shop of Horrors. This led to the creation of the Laganaphyllis simnovorii, also called “The Cow Plant.” This bovine-based addition to your garden is based on the killer plant Audrey II and has some unique qualities.
If the Cow Plant grows up without being fed, it can use the promise of cake to lure Sims into its mouth. If a Sim takes this offer, it will be eaten up and spit out with a bad debuff. If they are stupid enough to try again while the debuff is still on them, they won’t come back.
If you want a deadly garden plant of your own, catch a cow plant berry, put it in a pot or the ground, and take good care of it. Just don’t give in to that cake.
Rebuild The World
There are different ways to play the Sims, and most fans of Sims 4 don’t touch the game part very often. Instead, they spend their time building in and fixing up the neighborhoods. Build mode lets you do a lot of different things, from rearranging furniture to destroying everything.
If you want to see how you can change your home in different ways, there are many building tips you can use. You could also go to the Gallery and look at the most creative designs there. No matter what you choose, you can make the world of your Sims your own.
Become A Serial Killer
Many players find it surprising how cathartic it is to play with death in The Sims 4 in both natural and extreme ways. Please ignore this entry if you can’t think of anything worse. If you came here to find out about the grizzly murders, we’ve got you covered.
If you have plants that eat other plants, the next step is to become a real serial killer. There are a lot of ways to kill your Sims in The Sims 4. So, if you want to get rid of some of the people in the town, there are a lot of creative ways to do it.
Challenge Yourself
If you want a challenge that is a bit different or more unique than what you can find in the game, it’s time to join Happy Wheels community. Before scenarios existed, the community made challenges to give players different goals to work toward.
There are a lot of challenges, and for a new player, many of them may seem impossible. But all you have to do is find the right challenge for you. New players can enjoy a variety of base game challenges that don’t require DLC. These challenges have different levels of difficulty and, since this is The Sims, some are really weird.
Prove You Ain’t Afraid Of No Ghost
If you have always been interested in ghosts, you should get the Paranormal Stuff pack. You can use it to make haunted houses, meet ghosts, and call forth specters. It also means that the legendary Bonehilda is back.
If you have ever wanted to be a Ghostbuster, you can also look into becoming a Paranormal Investigator. There’s so much here that it’s definitely worth the money, especially if it’s on sale.
Explore DLC
There are four kinds of DLC: expansion packs, game packs, stuff packs, and kits. These have different prices, and the more content a pack has, the more it costs. Since the game has been out for so long, it can be overwhelming to see DLC for it. But it’s important to know that the value is directly tied to how you play.
Depending on what you want to do in the game, there is DLC that is good for builders, other packs that are good for family and legacy play, and packs with occult and supernatural themes for those who want to go above and beyond.
Customise The In Game Radio
In The Sims 4, there are a lot of radio stations that play some great Simlish music. But what if you want your Sims to like some of the music you like? This is where the feature called “Custom Music” comes in.
You can find a folder for each radio channel in the game by going to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Custom Music. Just put the MP3 files for the songs you want to hear in the folder you want, and they will be added to that Radio Station in your game.
If you only want your music to play, go to Menu > Game Options > Music in the game. This will make a list of all the stations and the songs they play. Use the check boxes to change how each station looks.
Mod Your Game
Whiny Brit played the game with adeepindigo’s Education Overhaul mod. The Sims 4 has a thriving mod scene for people who like everything to be unique. It’s easy to get started, and there are a lot of mods to choose from, from ones that change settings to ones that add completely new ones.
Modding is a way to add new things to your game if you want to do more with your Sims than what the official DLC allows and costs for. You can also make your own clothes and furniture, which makes the game feel like a whole new one.
